Our Employee Assistance Provider, amian can now offer audio/visual counselling support for staff overseas or at remote UK locations. This is using Cisco Webex, a very secure web based application. As long as there is an internet connection where the staff are located, amian can offer the service. All you need is a microphone and speakers. A webcam would also allow video.  There is no need to download any software, amian would send an e-mail with a link to start the meeting. It is totally secure and is used by Government Agencies as well as multi nationals, with expats abroad.  Please contact amian on either 0845 603 5667 or info@amian.co.uk| first.  You can ring them on +44 845 5667 if contacting them from abroad.

For specific information on the £1 Million Challenge Physical Activity initiative click on the £1 Million Challenge link on the right.

The University are currently promoting work station assessments for staff.  This assessment can be done on-line for VDU and Workstation Health and Safety - Introduction. Contact your local work station assessor to set you up as a user on the on-line assessment.  Click on the link on the right to find out who your work station assessor is.

If you think that your work station is incorrectly set up you should speak to your work station assessor. Click on the Ideal Work Station Design option on the right  or the workstation icon below to see how your computer work station should be set up.
