Staff Development

Introduction

Personal and Professional Development is ongoing throughout your working life.  At the University of Bolton your role objectives and and any support you require to enhance your individual effectiveness is agreed on an annual basis and recorded on an individual Professional Development Plan.

This method of Professional Development Planning is a two way process between you and your manager.  You have a responsibility to identify the development you require to achieve your objectives and your manager is responsible for identifying and prioritising the objectives in line with departmental and strategic objectives.

A programme of training events |that aim to meet the organisational and departmental objectives of managers, administrators, technicians and support staff has been developed.

This can be any form of development activity, not just a training course!

If you have a recent success, either of an individual or department nature, that you would like to share with others, please send me details and I will include it in the Recent Successes area of this site.

Any suggestions as to the inclusion of additional development activities not already offered would also be appreciated.
