Remuneration
Your commencing salary will be as per your contract and will (normally) be at the bottom of the grade as highlighted on the job description. It is payable in twelve equal instalments by direct credit transfer, normally on the fourth Wednesday of the month to which the payment relates (academic) or on the 18th of the month (professional).
Increments & Reviews
Any increments in salary will take place in August; If you are a new employee, you need to be in post by 1 February in order to benefit from an increment in August, otherwise your increments will only commence from the following August.

Overtime (Professional staff - below AC1/G6)
Overtime is payable at premium rates for hours worked in excess of 36.25 per week and for any hours worked at weekends. All overtime should be approved in advance with the line manger, and the appropriate documentation should be completed and submitted to the Personnel Service prior to the monthly payroll deadline.
