Students' deadly dance moves

Thursday 29 October 2009

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark… or at least in the Special Effects Backlot of the University of Bolton!

Students on the Special Effects degree courses have been practising their impressively scary zombie impressions this week. They are taking part in a dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller record attempt that is raising money for charity.

Putting the students through their paces has been event organiser, Bury man Steve Clegg, who hopes to get 3,000 people strutting their stuff at Harper Green Leisure Centre on Halloween, Saturday 31 October.

The students, who will be showing off their make-up effects skills as well as their dance moves, will be part of an attempt that aims to win Guinness Book of Records recognition.

The monster charity stunt is raising funds for Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley, Children In Need and a community roller-skating project.
