A model student
Tuesday 26 June 2007
First-class honours graduate Nikki Fatade has a very familiar face – not just around the University of Bolton.
Nikki, an international student from Nigeria, works part-time with the university's International Relations team, but that is not her only job for the university.
For Nikki has modelled in several advertising campaigns and has graced billboards, websites and can be spotted in the prospectus!
But she has also found time to be a model student, studying electronics and computing engineering.
Nikki attended a degree congregation ceremony on Friday 22 June, watched by her proud family who travelled from Lagos to see her graduate. It is the first time Nikki has seen her family in three years.
'It's so good to see my family; everyone has been excited to see each other. I've really enjoyed being in Bolton as a student. It is such a friendly town, it's really suited me.
'I found the course really challenging I was determined to achieve everything possible.
'Being motivated and prepared to put in the work is the key. I was determined to do well and my tutors have really helped me reach my potential.'
