University searches for lost alumni

The University of Bolton’s alumni team has put out an appeal – ‘lost alumni, we want to hear from you!’
The Bolton Alumni and Friends Association (BAFA) believes it has lost contact with as much as 40 per cent of its members, who all could be benefiting from new discounts, events, reunions and services being put together for BAFA members.
The root of the problem is email addresses changing, as Alumni and Development Administrator, Lynn Ashworth explained: ‘Graduates change email address once they leave, because the University email address expires, but can forget to tell the alumni team about their personal email address.
‘We’re developing exciting new services, including discounts exclusive to alumni members, so we want everyone who is eligible to know what’s there for them. We have thousands of alumni – some members having graduated more than 30 years ago, but we think we’ve lost thousands as well.'
