BA (Hons) Business Management (graduated 2011)

Coumba FayeWhen choosing a place of study I did a lot of research talking to friends, checking the internet and discussing with the University representative in Senegal. When I looked at the website and the prospectus I said this is where I want to study, this is the best place. This is my university and it will help me to achieve my objectives.

The library facilities here at the University of Bolton (UoB) are very good, not only can I borrow books, but I can also borrow a laptop and do my assignments and research in the Social Learning Zone. I have also used the Jobshop and I am a member of the Student Union. The University also has an International Society and I would recommend that new students join to make friends and help with settling in.

I am studying BA (Hons) Business Management and I am really enjoying the course. The lectures and feedback are very good and the lecturers are very helpful. I have also found it very easy to make friends with people on my course and I now have friends from all over the world, including They were China, France, Nigeria, Botswana, Turkey and Cameroon! I want to graduate with first class honours bachelor then start an MBA in Bolton University. After my studies I want to do import/export from western countries to Africa and run my own business.

I really enjoy living in Bolton, I can find everything I need here in town and there is a lot to do. I can even watch TV from my home country of Senegal. I have a part-time job, which has given me a better understanding of the world of work.

I would advise new students to just talk to people to make friends. If you don’t understand anything in class talk to the lecturer because they are very helpful.

Bolton is a lovely town. You will enjoy it here!
