Ang Li Theng - PGDip Supply Chain Management

Ang Li ThengI came across the University of Bolton through their University partner in Malaysia, SCM Professional Centre, where I conducted my undergraduate degree.

I graduated from a distance-learning program offered by University of Bolton (BSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management) in Malaysia and decided to continue my Masters at the University of Bolton in the UK to gain more experience and obtain different exposure. I’m currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management.

I am really enjoying studying at Bolton in the UK. It’s a value for money university which is able to cater for students based on their requirements. The staff are helpful and friendly and I am able to gain and share the knowledge and experience from students who are working practitioners.

I’ve been able to visit other places in the UK while I’ve been here. I went to London by train and travelled around London on the underground tube. I watched a musical show and went shopping and sight-seeing.

For new students coming to study in the UK I would say that you should try and make more friends which will help you to adapt faster. Participating in societies and clubs and being in touch with local and international students, helps you adapt to the environment.

At Bolton, for example, there is an International Society, which gathers and brings together all international students across the world helping you to settle in and enjoy life in Bolton.
