Getting a Computing Account

As a new member of staff, one of the things you will require is a computing account. Once your details have been submitted by personnel, you will need to fill out an Application for a Staff Username form and hand it in to the IT Support Desk in the library. Please ask for a staff ID card to be made up at the Library Desk and present this card to the IT Support Desk on submission of the form.

 

Requesting a Computer

As a new member of staff, you should be allocated a PC. If you don’t have the use of one, please contact your line manager who will request one on your behalf.

 

SITS Access

If you require access to SITS, you will need to fill out a SITS Access Request Form. Once completed, present it to your line manager for approval.

There are additional SITS Access request forms you may require:

 

L: Drive Access

The L: drive is a staff-shared resource that all staff can access. If you need access to restricted sections of the L drive, your line manager will need to request this for you by logging a task for IT Support Services

 

Requesting a Phone

As a new member of staff, you should be allocated a phone. If you don’t have the use of one, please contact your line manager who will request one on your behalf. If you have been allocated a phone, but the name and number is not allocated to yourself, email Phone Setup including as much detail as possible.

Once you email IT Support, a task will be created along with a unique reference number. This will be emailed to you and should be used in any task related correspondence.

 

University Access

If you have problems accessing areas which require you swipe your staff card, please email IT Support using the University Access form. Once you email IT Support, a task will be created along with a unique reference number. This will be emailed to you and should be used in any task related correspondence.

 

Car Park

If you have problems accessing the staff car park, please email IT Support using the Car Park form. Once you email IT Support, a task will be created along with a unique reference number. This will be emailed to you and should be used in any task related correspondence.
