Brief Introduction:

Living in a world where demand changes constantly and fresh technologies are always in demand, I, Karthick KG, holding a diploma and a Bachelors degree in Textile Technology from India and 3 years of industrial training experience in spinning mills, joined the University of Bolton to gain a deep insight and sound knowledge in technical textiles. 

My keen perception in computers has enabled me to apply my programming skills into medical textiles while pursuing Masters in Advanced Materials to design a Decision Support System for selection of suitable wound dressings. Currently I am in the second year of my Ph.D in Protective Textiles developing an advanced lightweight personal protective equipment garment for protection against stabs and some biological warfare agents which can be utilised for long periods at a time.
