Welcome to Psychology

One of the few degree subjects straddling both the arts and sciences, psychology is a popular choice for undergraduates as a route into the psychology professions or as a general grounding in understanding the experience and behaviour of individuals. Psychology addresses the ways in which people develop the abilities to perceive, think, feel and act, what motivates them and the ways in which people relate to and interact with others. It appeals to those who are intrinsically interested in human behaviour, and to those who would like to be able to apply their understanding of psychology, and the practical research skills they have developed, in a range of life situations.

Psychology graduates are snapped up by a host of employers and typical professions where the degree can be applied are in management, social work, personnel, nursing and the health service sector, market research, advertising, sales, and careers guidance. Careers for which a psychology degree is essential include clinical, counselling, educational, forensic, heath, occupational, and sport psychology, neuropsychology, and psychology teaching and research. Our Psychology courses are BPS |accredited.
