Logging into Electronic Resources
You need to log in to your OpenAthens account| before going to any electronic resource (this username and password is the same as your Network PC username and password).
Some browsers may not fully support Java or JavaScript and may not be not compatible with these resources.
Most of our resources are available off-campus, but there are couple of things to bear in mind about accessing resources off-campus. It's important that if you see login boxes, you don't enter your Bolton Network username and password there; instead, look for a link that says "Athens login" or similar.
If you see a screen that asks you to say where you are from (it will have UK Federation in the top right-hand corner), select University of Bolton from the drop-down list to proceed to the resource. For technical reasons, this sometimes does not work. If this is the case, select "Eduserv Athens" from the drop-down list.
The library is working with resource providers and the providers of OpenAthens to improve the logging in process.
