Why did you choose to study at the University of Bolton?
It was local to me and allowed me to study part time.
Why did you choose your course?
Always enjoyed sport and wanted to start a career in this industry
What was the best thing about your course?
I loved the sense of achievement from the modules I took and enjoyed being around like minded people for 4 years.
What advantages has your University of Bolton degree given you?
Allowed me to work in elite sport clubs and treat and meet people who I wouldn't normally get the chance to see. Opened doors to professional establishments.
What advice would you give new students coming to the University to help them make the most of their time here?
Enjoy your time at university but be prepared to work hard. The more you put in, the more you will get out of the experience.
Were you involved in any clubs and societies as a student?
No. Working full time and family life, as well as studying made little time for most activities.
What did you enjoy most about your time at Bolton?
Every aspect of my time was a great experience.
How did these experiences or your time at Bolton help shape you as a person, moving from being a student to a graduate of the University?
As a mature student, I had done my developing years before university life, but I definitely learnt to manage my time so much more effectively.
Was the first job that you took after graduation related to your degree?
Yes, although voluntary it allowed be to stay in touch with my degree learning experience.
What is your current position? Can you briefly describe your career journey from your time as a student until the present day?
Practitioner. I did several voluntary roles as well as a little bit of shadow work which led to my getting work with an established professional football club and a private clinic.
What has your involvement been with the University since you graduated?
I keep in touch with lecturers who have helped me gain additional placements as well as providing references for me.
