• The University of Bolton welcomes everyone with the ability and ambition to succeed. We believe education is a right not a privilege.
  • We understand your students and their parents will be concerned about fee increases but a university education is an investment.  The Office of National Statistics highlighted in April 2011 that graduates earn £12,000 per year more than non-graduates.
  • Preparing students for their future careers is a key strategic goal for the University.  For example, all our students are now expected to attain 10 core employability skills, developed by us in consultation with employers, to ensure students meet employer's skill needs.
  • Our focus is developing students for their chosen professions and we have a rich tradition of delivering courses in subject areas such as science, engineering, technologies, mathematics and law.
  • Still a relatively new university, Bolton is enjoying a large rise in applications.  It is also in the process of a multimillion-pound development programme.  £8m has been spent in the last few years to move all subjects to the main Deane Campus in the centre of town, where a new student union and Social Learning Zone have been built.
  • In 2012 the University opened an exciting, new health, leisure and learning facility on campus for our students.  The landmark, £31m Bolton One development includes an eight-lane swimming pool, healthcare services delivered by the NHS and state-of-the-art learning and research facilities.
  • Bolton itself is one of the largest towns in the country and there is a rich cultural heritage and plenty to do - not to mention the fact that Manchester is just a short hop away for some real big-city life.
