What Happens Next

Submitting your application is the first step, there are plenty of other things you will need to consider ...

If you haven’t already applied for your student finance you will need to do this as soon as possible to make sure your funding is in place as soon as possible. If you have already applied you will need to update your University and course choice.

Take a look at Halls or other student accommodation. Even if you live quite locally, university is so much more than just sitting in lectures, exams and submitting work. Becoming more independent is another part of the university experience and living away from home is a great way to meet new people.

If you have additional needs please get in touch with our Disability Team at disabilityinfo@bolton.ac.uk or 01204 903478. They can speak with you about any adjustments we can put in place for you starting your course – this in no way impacts your application, it just means that we can fully support you from day one!

Follow us/like our social media pages – lots of updates at this time of year get put out via social media, we also put out news articles / general information throughout the year

You can visit us after applying if you haven’t already had the opportunity, either at one of the open days or by arranging a campus tour with the team at opendays@bolton.ac.uk or 01204 903807.

After you’ve called the clearing hotline and applied, we’ll send a series of emails, some with general information about the University and some with information about your course and timetable.

We’ll send enrolment instructions out from mid-August so please keep checking your inbox and junk mail folder for these.

We’ll also send out information about Fresher’s week in August. This is organised by the Students’ Union and has both day and evening events.

Your enrolment instructions will include a link to where you will enrol online. you will then be invited to a specific day at the University, this will be to verify your ID and to take part in your induction sessions. These sessions will take place in mid September. Please make every effort to attend the sesison you are invited to, this is to keep queues down to a minimum and so that you can meet other people on your course. You will be expected to be on campus for approximately 3 hours.
