It is often useful to be able to request temporary help, to get your department through a busy period, staff absence or special project. The Job Shop can help you to recruit, and advise you on the best way to promote your vacancy to students with the necessary skills. We can advertise the position via our vacancy service, but you need to ensure that you have contacted personnel to make sure that payment for the student is authorised through the right channels.
In addition to advertising jobs for students on campus, the Job Shop supports curernt students at the University of Bolton to find part-time work. The University recognises the need for many students to supplement their income, and will therefore assist individuals in finding part time, temporary and vacation work. This may be with a local or national employer. We are here to point the way and give advice.
The Job Shop can also advise on rates of pay, working hours, national insurance contributions, national minimum wage, income tax and more specific advice for international students who are looking for employment.
