Overview

I joined the University in April 2015 following 12 years experience of delivering Business and Management courses on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the UK Higher Education.

Prior to this, I worked as a senior lecturer, module leader, course-co-ordinator of Management and Leadership programmes at the University of Huddersfield. I hold an undergraduate honours and postgraduate qualifications in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, Education and a teaching qualification. I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development as well as a Fellow member of the Higher Academy.

I have a proven and sustained track record of contribution to students’ learning and development. I have been involved in student research related to flexible working, employee engagement and behaviour in the workplace and have successfully led a number of teaching and learning initiatives including personal development planning, employability and mentoring projects.

My research interests include International Business and Management, Small and Medium Enterprises with particular emphasis on Business Development, Employability, Strategic Management and Leadership, Global mobility, Innovations and Transitions, Intercultural communications and social impacts.
