Overview

After obtaining both my LL.B. and M.Phil. from the University of Manchester I joined the University of Bolton in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in Property Law. Since then I have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I am the module leader for the Equity and Trusts and Intellectual Property Law modules on the undergraduate LL.B.

My research interest is intellectual property law, with a strong emphasis on trademark law and related areas such as copyright, passing off, comparative advertising, parallel imports, ambush marketing, brand protection and the emergence of grey and black markets. I am a member of the Society of Legal Scholars and a member of their intellectual property law subject section.
