Women in CET (Construction, Engineering and Technology) Network

The Women in CET (Construction, Engineering and Technology) group is a network of female students, graduates and staff of the School of the Built Environment and Engineering, University of Bolton.

Background

The network was the brainchild of an ex-student Barbara Entwistle intended to support female students on Built Environment courses. The network started off as the Women in Construction group championed by Barbara and our very own Mr Roger Seeds, but expanded into a wider network on the amalgamation of the former departments of the Built Environment and Engineering.  The network is currently coordinated by Barbara, as well as Dr Margaret Nelson| and Ebun Akinsete |who are both based in the School of the Built Environment and Engineering.

Network Activities

We meet up to three times a year to discuss issues of relevance to women in the CET professions. Each event is held on a Tuesday evening between 6.00 and 7.30 pm. We also invite speakers to share their experiences, talk about different career options in CET, and share important information about funding for Women in CET.
