Professional Biography
My Higher Education took place at Liverpool John Moores University, where I began with a degree in Design and Technology before moving onto an MSc in Product Design. Whilst undertaking my MSc, I worked on a range of Product Design consultancies, continuing to work in a freelance capacity for a further two years before moving into lecturing.
I have worked at the University since 1999, moving from part-time lecturer to full-time Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in 2002. My role also allows me to undertake a range of Consultancy activities within the University's Product Development Studio.
Research Interests
I am currently undertaking a PhD, titled 'Multi-stage curricular effects on the academic development of product design students', an area of research that I feel is central to the understanding of how to create curricula that allows students within this field to develop into the industry.
Teaching
My lecturing takes place at undergraduate and postgraduate level on a variety of modules and I also act as second supervisor on two PhD's.
