I took my degree in Civil Engineering at Leeds University, graduating in 1978. I worked for Leeds City Council Engineers Department after graduation. During my time at Leeds I was involved in the design and construction of several large wastewater projects.
I joined Bolton Institute as a lecturer in 1985 and have recently been appointed as Principal Lecturer (Professional Standards & Practice) within the School.
I obtained an MSc in Management Studies from UMIST in 1994.
