Medical textile activities include research into biomaterials, medical devices, healthcare and hygiene products. Outcomes are engineered novel venous leg ulcer treatments and orthopaedic, orthotic and prosthetic medical devices, wound dressings with odour control and dressings for capillary wounds, pressure sores and incontinence management which have been analysed in clinical trials.
