Bolton Business School has the largest number of International Students of any of the Schools in the University.

We welcome students from all round the world, predominantly from Africa and Asia, but with increasing numbers from Europe, particularly via Socrates and Erasmus exchange programmes.

We believe that one of the most important factors in helping our International students succeed in their studies is developing their confidence in using English in both spoken and written form.

The Business School hosts English Programmes| for the whole University.

Some students come to us already having achieved the relevant IELTS entry level standard|.  However it may be that there are certain aspects of their English skills that need improving, and we offer courses which may be taken in conjunction with their main programme of study.

Other students may spend a semester with us, working to achieve our minimum entry requirements.  Students who successfully achieve these entry standards are eligible for attractive discounts on their subsequent Business School course fees.

Some students who have English Language skills marginally below our entry requirements may wish to undertake an intensive 'pre-sessional' course.  Again, successful students who come on to Business School programmes are eligible for attractive discounts on their subsequent course fees.
