With learning at the core of University life, what better way to commemorate your own, a family member or a friend’s academic achievement than with a personalised book plate for a new book?

 

Each year our library provides 4000 new books, often costing between 30 and 100 each for our students, community members and alumni. Naturally a student’s thirst for knowledge places a heavy demand on our university and student budgets. Reading lists for students often include up to ten books, journal articles, DVDs and CD-Roms. With 9000 students sharing the same resources we need to continually provide and update the best access to information for all learning needs of all our students. The price of books and the volume of information needed increases substantially each year. Additionally, we need to maintain investment in electronic sources to provide instant access to information; so invaluable for our part-time and overtime students.
