Nostalgia Exhibition 19th August - 3rd October

Tuesday 13 July 2010

Neoartists, the Bolton based community initiative aimed at helping emerging artists, is taking a trip down memory lane with its latest exhibition and you are all warmly invited to come along! The exhibition is called 'Nostalgia' and takes place at the Neoartists gallery, situated in Bolton Market Place.

Nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding the individual of an event or item from their past. The resulting emotion can vary from happiness to sorrow. Memories contribute to an individual's personality and artists often use these influences when creating a piece of work – offering the audience a glimpse inside their soul.

Lisa Moore, Neoartists co-director says: 'this exhibition gives our artists the chance to tap into their sub-conscious and bring to the fore memories that hold a special place in their heart, which they can portray using the medium of their choice.'

The exhibition is curated by fellow artists Nway Htut and Denis Whiteside and runs from Thursday 19th August 2010 until Sunday 3rd October 2010.  For further details visit www.neoartists.co.uk|
