Terms and conditions
Register for the Alumni and Friends Association.
Applicants are invited from any graduate, post 1990 who has completed a first degree at the University of Bolton or Bolton Institute and wishes to go onto post-graduate Masters and designated HE6& HE7 CPD courses at the University of Bolton.
Research applicants are invited from any graduate, post 1990 who has completed a Post-graduate degree from the University of Bolton or Bolton Institute and have been accepted on a MPhill, MRes, PhD course at the University of Bolton.
Graduates apply for the discount for the duration of the course.
Special dispensation is awarded to post-graduates who do not have a first degree from the University of Bolton but have been officially awarded a PgCertificate or Pg Diploma and is returning after a leave of absence to complete a related Master's course. This is subject to confirmation from the current Course/Programme leader.
Acceptance on to a University of Bolton discounted course is subject to normal entry procedures/requirements. A University of Bolton alumnus does not automatically have direct entry on to a higher level course.
Please note if you are awarded a discount the finance team will expect you to enrol immediately. If you cannot start your course at the originally intended semester do not expect the discount to be automatically carried over to the next term, you will need to reapply at the Alumni Office.
Any person funded or part-funded by another means eg. Bursary, Scholarship, Govt. grant, employer or another company etc is not eligible for the discount (Hardship and disability bursaries are allowable) Please note if you are successful in receiving a Postgraduate Scholarship, you will not be able to receive the alumni discount on top.
Discounts are awarded by the Alumni Office, however they can be withdrawn by course/programme leader at any time due unforeseen circumstances, i.e funding requirements, tuition fee changes, date and curriculum changes.
Please note you must enrol for the full course i.e MBA to be eligible for an Alumni Discount. It is not acceptable to claim a discount as an associate student except by special dispensation.
This form must be returned to the Alumni and Development Office only.
Graduates before 1990 are not eligible for discount except with special dispensation from the course/programme leader.

Alumni CPD HE6 & HE7 courses

Full time/Part-time courses MBA, MSc, MA, PgDip, PGCert, 25% TF only. (Includes dissertation fee) Courses are added and removed by the Director of the School.

Most credit based course that is awarding an Advanced Diploma of CPD is included, exception below. (25% discount TF only)

Research Degrees. MPhil, MRes, PhD
NOT included.

Any full time/part time Undergraduate degrees, foundation courses.
