Dr Maria Rodriguez-Yborra

Maria is the Reader in Technology Enhanced Learning for the School of Art, Media and Education and principal lecturer in Technology Assisted Learning. Maria leads the masters in eLearning for Educationalists in the education department. She has significant national and international experience in eLearning and its applications in training, teaching and learning. She is a leading consultant for international projects with organisations such as UNESCO, The World Bank, Organisation of American States, The British Council and the European Union in countries as diverse as Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Puerto Rico, USA, Nigeria, Russia, Spain, France, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, Zambia, and Bahrain.

Research activities and interests include sector wide activity in the areas of Continuing Professional Development and elearning; Human-Computer Interaction, elearning, blended learning, inclusive elearning, e-Eco friendly technology and practices in academia; elearning in developing countries; ICT in education; eTraining; ePortfolios; e-Curriculum development and constructivist learning theory, and how this can inform the development, implementation and embedding of learning technologies.

Sarah Lawton

Sarah is a Senior Lecturer in ITT Art and Design. As part of her role within the Teacher Training team, Sarah is responsible for training the Art and Design cohort on the full time PGDE programme. Intertwined with this role is her commitment to the AME eTeam, where as an IfL Connections representative, Sarah devises and disseminates e-learning materials across the whole PGDE programme using IfL's bespoke teaching and learning application, REfLECT.

Sarah is also a practising artist and fuses media technology with traditional fine art approaches. She has exhibited at venues across the UK and USA and participated in international arts residencies. As part of the e-team she has contributed to national e-learning conferences, as well as University of Bolton research initiatives.

Research Interests: New Media Art, Interdisciplinary approaches to Fine Art practise and Technology Enabled Teaching & Learning Communications
