During lunchtime the E team organised demonstrations of e learning approaches and an E joke board with a competition.
The programme had been planned around short presentations and substantive discussion sessions which were chaired by staff in the school and which offered an opportunity for in depth discussion around the topics.
Key points which resulted from the day included the need for a clear research infrastructure and strategy in the school, training for peer review of teaching, workshops on disability issues and the piloting of a mentoring scheme for staff.
The PL for Learning, Teaching and Professional Practice and Reader for E Learning will be developing a programme of key staff development activities for the school to include e learning approaches linked to the school and university agenda.
The event was a really important opportunity for staff from the diverse subject areas to meet each other, share ideas and opinions and we would like to thank the presenters, chairs of discussion groups, the E team, AV team, Ged Clarke, teaching fellow in BBS and all staff who helped to make the day a success.
