Mark Whyte

Lecturer in Visual Effects and Animation

Mark Whyte is a lecturer on the visual effects team with a wealth of digital art and film experience. His digital art skills were refined over 15 years in the games industry. After lecturing for many years in this field, he moved on to lecturing in visual effects, where he could push his skills in a different direction drawing on his love of film and his previous experience in this area.

Alongside his lecturing, he has focused on improving his academic ability. To this end, he has completed a PG Cert, an MA in Teaching and Learning, and is currently undertaking writing papers. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and intends to start a PhD in the near future. His TEF assessment is graded at Outstanding.
