Emma Fazackerley

Lecturer in Fashion

Emma has a BA in Clothing Design and Technology and an MA in Fashion Innovation. Over the last 10 years Emma has acquired credible experience of lecturing on Fashion Design, Product Development and Fashion Buying programmes across both undergraduate and post graduate levels, within a range of institutions. Emma has experience of leading and managing Further Educational courses within the fashion remit working closely with the Fashion Industry.

Emma’s expertise falls within the area of research and product development of interactive garments for children and adults with specific learning disabilities, including sensory processing disorder and Autism.

Emma’s continued research in the area of Fashion and Disabilities has creditable recognition, her MA collection won a Gold award with the prestigious Creative Conscious Award in 2019. The implementation and embedding of inclusivity and sustainable practices are key drivers of Emma’s practice.
